Hosted by our restaurant partner Plant Junkie, Trunks of Love brought together supporters who believe that change starts with collective action, proving that when a community unites for a cause, even the smallest gatherings can have a powerful impact.
Earlier this year, a group of animal advocates gathered for an intimate fundraiser with a big mission—to free Joyce. Hosted by our restaurant partner Plant Junkie, Trunks of Love brought together supporters who believe that change starts with collective action. The evening featured a specially curated 100% plant-based menu with dishes like savory Korean “steak” skewers, a selection of Sri Lankan curries, Oaxacan-style tofu in a tasty mole sauce, and a mind-melting multi-layered Oreo cake for dessert.
Advocates learned about Joyce’s story, asked insightful questions, and committed to taking action to help secure Joyce’s freedom.
Joyce deserves a life in sanctuary. Since 2010, Joyce has been part of the Wild Safari exhibit at the Six Flags Great Adventure theme park in New Jersey. This is no place for an elephant. Join us in demanding Six Flags New Jersey release Joyce and the other elephants to sanctuaries and close the elephant exhibit for good by signing our petition.
Plant Junkie strives to be a beacon of kindness, showing that small acts of love via the food we eat, can go a long way in making the world a better place for all beings. Plant Junkie continues to prove that plant-based dining can be exciting, flavorful, and accessible to all! Its 100% plant-based menu features globally-inspired comfort foods! You can find Plant Junkie at its restaurant in South Street Seaport in New York City, on its website, and on Uber Eats, Grubhub, and Doordash.
